Every Transaction Makes a Difference
Since finding homes for people is Windermeres business, fighting homelessness is a natural fit for the Windermere Foundation. Through the creation of the 
Windermere Foundation, a non-profit organization in 1989, Windermere provides housing and services for homeless and low-income families throughout the West by funding nonprofit organizations dedicated to the same cause. This commitment to serving communities goes beyond providing buyers and sellers the best in real estate services.
Contributions from Windermere agents combined with contributions from Windermere employees and the public have allowed the Windermere Foundation to distribute in excess of a million dollars annually in recent years to non-profit agencies dedicated to helping homeless and low-income families.
Every time a Windermere agent completes a transaction, a donation is made to the Foundation, and Windermere agents and employees also contribute to the fund individually.
Housing is our business
Helping homeless and low-income families are a natural extension of our business. Non-profit agencies receiving Windermere Foundation dollars have furnished emergency and transitional housing, have subsidized costs for services such as health care, employment counseling, placement and training, day care, scholarships and much more.
Our work is not about houses. It's about people
We're in the business of selling homes. But more importantly, we're helping people find a place they can call home. Our commitment to service extends beyond each real estate transaction. We believe in our community and giving back to it, that is the Windermere way.
Building a future for homeless and low-income children
A significant portion of Windermere Foundation dollars go toward programs that help children. Establishing and funding literacy programs, underwriting the costs of summer camp, and providing basic necessities such as new school shoes, socks, and underwear are among the many projects that the Windermere Foundation supports. We believe that building a child's self-esteem is an investment in our future.
